Join Arounna Khounnoraj in her home country of Laos for a very special textile discovery journey. Arounna is excited to share this beautiful country with you as together you explore various forms of textile printing such as block printing and painting on fabric with with resists and modifiers, natural dyeing using local plants and different techniques of fabric embroidery.
You will also work with local artisans from Ock Pop Tok and Passa Paa learning about silk types, natural dyeing and indigo, how to weave on a large floor looms, and Hmong style batik wax resist printing and embroidery.
